The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) over the weekend welcomed the decision by President Rodrigo Duterte to deploy additional troops and police officers to Negros.

In a radio interview, BCPO director, Police Senior Superintendent Francisco Ebreo, said the additional deployments will be a big help in ensuring peace and order.

Ebreo said he has yet to receive any information confirming if Bacolod City is one of the areas expected to receive additional police officers.

He also pointed out, there have been no recorded cases of lawless violence in the city under his watch and said additional law enforcement units would be utilized for more police visibility, particularly during the ongoing holiday season,/DGB, WDJ
