The remains of a woman were found yesterday morning in a sugarcane field in Barangay Ayungon, La Carlota City, Negros Occidental.
Police have yet to identify the woman, whom they believe to be between 22 and 25 years old.
They said the women has a rose tattoo on her upper right thigh and a rosary tattoo on her right collar bone.
Police also believe the victim may have been raped as her underwear was missing.
The said remains were immediately processed by scene of the crime operatives after local residents called the La Carlota City Police Station informing them of the discovery./DGB, WDJ
