The Bacolod City Legal Office (CLO) padlocked two business establishments in the city yesterday for operating without a business permit and using fake permits.

Bacolod City Permits and License Division head Stella Rose Rayos recommended the closure of  E.S. Print Media Inc., located along 6th Street in Barangay 7, for operating with a “fake permit;” and Active Life Chicago Physical Therapy Clinic, located along BS Aquino Drive in Barangay Villamonte, for operating without a permit.

“We sent two notices about their violations but they have not acted,” she explained.

The city official added, the closure of these establishments will serve as an example to others operating without the necessary permits.

Rayos said her division conducts random inspections, which has resulted in the discovery of non-compliant businesses.

She pointed out, establishments will be permitted to reopen once they secure a proper business permit./DGB, WDJ
