Workers eligible for 14th month pay, cash gifts

Negros Occidental provincial government employees will begin receiving bonuses this month after the Department of Budget and Management officially permitted government offices to disburse year-end bonuses and cash gifts today.

Acting Negros Occidental Provincial Administrator, Dr. Lucille Gelvolea, said employees will receive a “14th month bonus,” which is equivalent to one month’s salary.

“The 13th month was already released between May and June,” she explained.

The government official added, employees may also receive an additional P5,000 cash gift.

Gelvolea noted, any additional awards are up the discretion of the governor./DGB, WDJ
