CSAV wins regional title

Colegio de Sta. Ana de Victorias (CSAV) defeated Iloilo Doctors’ College (IDC), 102-82, winning the Philippine Collegiate Champions League (PCCL) regional elimination knockout game at the STI-West Negros University gym last week.

CSAV will next represent the Western Visayas in the PCCL Zonal Elimination in Davao City next month.

IDC led 28-24 at the end of the first period. That gap later closed as the two schools went into halftime tied 44-44.

CSAV went on a 17-0 run in the third period and ultimately closed the quarter with a 73-57 advantage.

With four minutes left in the final period, the eventual winners were up 89-69 and went on to shut down their opponents./JSG, WDJ
