After Bacolod Plaza Flower Vendors Association President Glen Amar earlier responded to calls by the Bacolod City government to have Bacolod Public Plaza flower vendors transferred to an area towards the rear of the BAYS Center by indicating the newly-designated area was still without electricity and water, the group has since affirmed they are preparing to move.

Amar confirmed to the members of the media, they are now preparing for the transfer as the area is now equipped with their requests and have asked for a final transfer date of November 11. Sectoral concerns head, Executive Assistant Ernesto Pineda, responded by assuring the plaza will be cleared of flower vendors by November 12.

City Administrator John Orola had earlier requested they move yesterday, November 9.

Vendors will be provided with stalls measuring 2½ by 3 meters.

They have also requested that the stalls be formally awarded in order for them to acquire business permits./DGB, WDJ
