IPM-CDC worker dies in Pahanocoy road collision

An employee of Bacolod City waste management contractor IPM Construction and Development Corporation was killed after the motorcycle he was riding collided with another vehicle yesterday morning along the national highway in Barangay Pahanocoy, Bacolod City.

Police identified the fatality as Jenil Villagracia, a resident of Barangay Dulao, Bago City.

Police Station 8 (PS8) traffic investigator, Police Officer 2 Jomar Dura, said Villagracia was heading north when he collided with another vehicle driven by 23-year-old Twoen Hernan Mijares, a resident of Manville Royale, located in the said barangay.

Villagracia was instantly killed after sustaining numerous injuries across his body.

Mijares, meanwhile, immediately surrendered to police following the incident.

The victim’s family, meanwhile, has yet to decide if they will negotiate for a settlement or press charges against Mijares, who is presently detained at PS8./DGB, WDJ
