A recently-released prison inmate was arrested by City Drug Enforcement Units (CDEU) operatives during a Saturday afternoon buy-bust operation at Purok Mabinuligon in Barangay 35, Bacolod City.

Police identified the suspect as 35-year-old Alexander Guevarra, a resident of the said area.

CDEU team leader, Police Inspector Adrian James Albaytar, said Guevarra was recently released from prison after serving time for the same drug charges.

He said the suspect was again placed under surveillance after receiving information he had returned to selling illegal drugs.

Police recovered three medium and one elongated sachet of suspected shabu, and the P1,000 buy-bust money.

Guevarra is facing illegal drugs charges and is under police custody./DGB, WDJ
