Third tremor in the town since last month
According to a Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology bulletin, a 2.8-magnitude earthquake was recorded just west of La Libertad, Negros Oriental around 9:16 a.m. on Saturday morning.
The agency noted there was no damage reported as a result of the incident, nor were there any anticipated aftershocks.
Earthquakes ranging between 1.0 and 3.0 in magnitude are often classified as a Level 1 on the Mercalli intensity scale, where very few even feel the tremor.
Last month, the municipality was struck by two 1.8-magnitude tremors./WDJ
