Eleven Ceres-Negros FC players have been called up by the Philippine national football team, the Azkals, ahead of the 2018 AFF Suzuki Cup group stage, which opens next week. The team begins their campaign on Tuesday, November 13, against Singapore at the Panaad.

Among the Ceres players making it on the roster include defenders Amani Aguinaldo, Carli de Murga, and Martin Steuble; midfielders OJ Porteria, Mike and Manny Ott, Kevin Ingreso, Stephan Schröck, and Paul Mulders; and strikers Curt Dizon and Patrick Reichelt.

Aguinaldo, Steuble, Ingreso, Paul Mulders, the Ott brothers, Dizon, and Reichelt were earlier called up in last month’s friendly against Oman, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

After the Singapore match, the Azkals head to the Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium in Malaysia to face Timor-Leste on November 17; then it’s back in Bacolod City on November 21, where they meet Thailand./JSG, WDJ
