36 to compete for Miss Iloilo Dinagyang Festival 2019

Organizers of the Miss Iloilo Dinagyang Festival 2019 announced they have reserved 36 spots for the competition, which began welcoming applications last month.

“It is good to have many participants so everyone can go cheer for the representative of their district or municipality,” said pageant director PJ Arañador. “[Applicants] will be properly screened as women of natural beauty, can speak well, and who have the heart to help promote Iloilo.”

According to an earlier Iloilo City Public Information Office release, among the eligibility criteria include good skin, able to speak English, and “upper class beauty.”

Also among the requirements include a height of at least 5’6,” between the ages of 16 and 26 by the time of the pageant, “naturally beautiful,” single and never married, and good moral character.

Applications will be accepted up until Saturday, November 3; with screenings taking place from November 14 to 15; and the official launch set for November 16.

Coronation night is scheduled for January 25, 2019./WDJ
