City government prepared for holidays

The Bacolod City government said they are fully prepared for the All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day observances, which take place today, November 1, and tomorrow, November 2, respectively.

City Administrator Atty. John Orola, said he instructed the Department of Public Services and the IPM Construction and Development Corporation, the city’s waste management contractor, to maintain cleanliness in the city.

He also said the city is currently looking for a new public cemetery site, after city officials decided to bar new burials at the Burgos Public Cemetery due to overcrowding.

Last year, several people claimed they were unable to locate the tombs of their loved ones at the public cemetery./DGB, WDJ
