An unidentified woman was found dead by local farmers Thursday afternoon in a sugar plantation at Hacienda Tanate in Barangay Aguisan, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental.

Police have yet to identify the woman, who was found in an advanced state of decomposition.

According to Himamaylan City police, a farmer, identified as 49-year-old Adonis Jaen, contacted their station after discovering the woman’s nude remains.

Police noted, Jaen discovered the victim while removing grass and vegetation in the area.

Following a post-mortem examination, scene of the crime operatives estimate the victim to be around 20 years old.

They added, the victim was dumped in the area about a week ago.

Investigators are scheduled to perform another autopsy to see if she was raped and to determine the cause of death./DGB, WDJ
