Former NPA rebel gunned down in Himamaylan City

A former New People’s Army (NPA) member was killed yesterday morning by unidentified gunmen, who were said to be former colleagues with the rebel group, at Barangay San Antonio in Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental.

Police identified the fatality as Reymark Daguhoy, a farm laborer and resident of the said area.

Based on initial information provided by Himamaylan City police, Daguhoy was working on a sugar plantation when unidentified men approached him. The men then opened fire, killing Daguhoy instantly.

The suspects reportedly shouted “Long Live the NPA” before escaping towards an undetermined location.
