Tourism attachés and market representatives are expected to arrive in Iloilo, Guimaras, and Capiz as part of a product audit.
“They will see how the Western Visayas [developed] into one of the most sought-after tourist destinations in the country,” explained Department of Tourism-Region VI (DOT-6) director, Atty. Helen J. Catalbas. “Familiarization with local products of the Western Visayas for international tourists, through these overseas officers, is one way of strengthening the region’s position in the Asian tourist market.”
The audit will include representatives from China, South Korea, Japan, and Indonesia.
The program is expected to conclude on Sunday, October 28./WDJ
