A street vendor was recently rushed to a hospital after he was reportedly stabbed by a customer for selling “pricey” peanuts and balot in Valladolid, Negros Occidental.
Police identified the victim as 44-year-old Eranio Dioso, a resident of Bangga Totong in Barangay Felisa, Bacolod City.
Based on Dioso’s statement to Valladolid municipal police, he was selling peanuts and balot to the suspect, identified as Salvador Ornillo, who allegedly stabbed the vendor after complaining the products he was selling were expensive.
The victim managed to flee and was rushed to the town’s district hospital after sustaining stab wounds to his left hand and chest.
Ornillo, meanwhile, was arrested during a follow-up operation by police and could face criminal charges./DGB, WDJ
