Barangay Calumpang, located in the Molo district of Iloilo City, recently won in the highly urbanized city category of the 2018 Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards (LTIA), which recognizes barangay justice committees.

“This is a manifestation of a united and best public service that contributes to our goal in helping Ilonggos,” said Iloilo City Mayor Jose Espinosa III.

The Iloilo City community was awarded P300,000 during an awards ceremony at the Heritage Hotel Manila last week.

The barangay has represented the Western Visayas since 2013, winning second place in the national contest in 2016 and 2017./WDJ
