The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) in Negros has begun preparations for this year’s Halloween observance, which includes All Saints’ Day on November 1 and All Souls’ Day on November 2.

PCG-Bacolod station commander, Lieutenant Commander Lodovico Lebrilla, said he has ordered all port commanders on the island to start planning security measures for passengers, who are expected to flock to transportation terminals days before the holiday.

Meanwhile, PCG auxiliary members were also told to be on alert for possible deployment.

Lebrilla added, he sent communication to PCG national headquarters for additional K9 units to be assigned to ports in the province, particularly in San Carlos City and Calatrava./DGB, WDJ
