The 8-A-Side Negros Elite Festival opens today at the Sta. Maria Football Field in Talisay City.

The competition will be divided into several categories, including boys born 2002, 2004, and 2006; girls born 2000, 2002, and 2004; and mixed both 2008 and 2010.

In addition, a clinic for athletes between three and 17 years old will be held tomorrow.

“We want to start early,” said organizer James Dinsay. “Our program will help the kids develop the technical skills needed for football.”/JSG, WDJ
