City Drug Enforcement Unit team leader, Police Inspector Adrian James Albaytar, confirmed in a radio interview yesterday that illegal drugs recently confiscated in Bacolod City are “old stock” left behind by drug group leaders.

Albaytar said local drug group leaders had been stocking up on illegal drugs ahead of the ongoing MassKara Festival, which they expected to proliferate during the month-long citywide event.

Presently, Albaytar said the Philippine Coast Guard, Police Maritime Command, and Aviation Security Group are watching for the entry of additional supplies of illegal drugs.

He added, the entry of illegal drugs into the city has been significantly affected due to their aggressive operations against drug dealers and couriers./DGB, WDJ
