VP: They are finding ways to oust me from office

Following proposals to adjust the presidential succession process, in particular, swapping vice president for senate president as the next in line in the event the president is unable to complete their term in office, Vice President Leni Robredo, who was in Bacolod City yesterday, called the move “desperate.”
“They are trying everything to remove me,” she stated. “They are finding ways to oust me from office.”
“This is a reminder to our people that we should not be complacent,” the vice president added.
She noted, Senate President Vicente Sotto III already affirmed the proposal would not pass the Senate./DGB, WDJ
