An 18-year-old was recently arrested after he was caught wielding a gun in Barangay Alicante, EB Magalona, Negros Occidental.

Police identified the suspect as John Lloyd Barnuevo, a resident of Purok Commercial in the said barangay.

EB Magalona municipal police said their station responded to a call for assistance around 1:55 a.m. after a rumble erupted.

As they were pacifying the two groups, one of the police officers noticed Barnuevo holding what appeared to be an improvised firearm, prompting them to make the arrest.

Barnuevo is presently detained at the EB Magalona Municipal Police Station on illegal possession of firearms charges./DGB, WDJ
