Around 1,000 Rizal Elementary School students recently received new shoes as part of SM’s 60,000 Pairs of Shoes Project. The Bacolod City school was one of 88 recipient schools nationwide.
“These are more than just shoes,” said Rizal Elementary School Principal Dennis Estaniel. “They also represent the hope of SM that you will go to school every day and work hard to finish your studies.”
Along with the shoes, students received hand-written notes.
Also present at the event was Department of Education-Bacolod Schools Division Superintendent Cynthia Demavivas, who thanked SM for selecting Rizal Elementary School./WDJ
