A still-unidentified thief ransacked a grocery store early Tuesday morning at Purok Makawiwili in Barangay Sibucao, San Enrique, Negros Occidental.
Police identified the victim as 64-year-old Jaime Oh, a local businessman and resident of the said area.
San Enrique municipal police said, based on Oh’s statement, he discovered his grocery store was forcefully entered.
A subsequent investigation and footage from the victim’s closed-circuit television cameras determined the thief gained entry by climbing the concrete fence.
Once inside, the thief used thin and flexible plastic material to slide off the door knob lock at the back door.
The thief managed to cart away P80,000 in cash and two mobile phones, which contained a total of P2,800 in electronic load.
The suspect was also described as wearing a jacket, motorcycle glove, and cap; with a big spider tattoo on the right side of their neck.
Police are still investigating the incident./DGB, WDJ
