Bacolod Welcome Park will open this month

According to Megaworld Corporation Senior Assistant Vice President Harold Geronimo, the Bacolod Welcome Park, which is currently under construction and intended to welcome tourists and locals to the city, will open to the public on October 15.

He noted, however, it is unclear if lighting and other facilities will be available by the scheduled opening date.

“For the sake of the tourists who will be coming to Bacolod, they will be able to see the marker during the festival highlights,” Geronimo stressed. “Its design will feature colorful masks, which will be illuminated at night, symbolic of Bacolod’s very own world-renowned MassKara Festival.”

A groundbreaking for the structure took place last June within the 7.5 hectare Northhill Town Center, part of Megaworld’s 53-hectare Northhill Gateway township located along the Bacolod-Silay Airport Access Road./DGB, WDJ
