The security at the Negros Occidental Provincial Capitol building was tightened in response to the recent bombings in Mindanao.
Provincial Capitol security head Venchito Magalona said they implemented the change after their counterparts in Iloilo decided to step up security.
Magalona said security in the building has been on alert since last month and a team from the Philippine National Police-Task Force Ilahas was also deployed to the old Capitol Building.
Blue guards have also been ordered to conduct regular patrols, while the visiting public is now required to show identification and write their names in logbooks before entering the premises./DGB, WDJ
