A suspected drug personality who previously completed drug rehabilitation was recently arrested by police during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Punta Salong, Manapla, Negros Occidental.

Police identified the suspect as 48-year-old Helen Villanueva, a resident of the said area.

Based on information provided by Manapla municipal police, Villanueva previously surrendered under “Oplan: Tokhang.”

Villanueva later underwent drug rehabilitation.

After completing the program, however, town police received intelligence reports suggesting she had returned to illegal drugs.

After gathering enough evidence against Villanueva, police conducted the operation.

Police recovered a total of four sachets of suspected shabu, along with the buy-bust money used in the operation.

Villanueva faces criminal charges and is detained at the Manapla Municipal Police Station./DGB, WDJ
