The Bacolod Community Animal Rescue Efforts Inc. (CARE), in partnership with the K9 Obedience Club, will kick off Bacolod Animal Welfare Awareness Week (BAWAW) tomorrow, September 28, at the SM City Bacolod North Transport Hub.
The observance runs until October 4.
Among the events planned include a Pet Festival Safari Park, featuring exotic species of animals; along with the Negros and Asong Pinoy training challenge, which will demonstrate the trainability of the “Asong Pinoy” breed.
The event is conducted in line with City Ordinance No. 825, which calls attention to ensuring animals are free from cruelty, pain, and suffering and promoting appropriate standards of care, husbandry, and humane treatment./JSG, WDJ
