Royal Star Trading, JSY Transport win

Royal Star Trading recently defeated JSY Countertrade by a narrow 91-90 margin in the ongoing Fil-Sino All Asian Countertrade, Inc. (AACI) Inter-Company Basketball Tournament game at the St. John’s Institute Msgr. John Liu Activity Center. The tournament previously held games at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School Po Hang gym.

Meanwhile, JSY Transport also notched a win by beating Silver Dragon Transport, 108-90.

With Royal Star Trading holding a narrow 88-79 lead, with 1:50 left in the game, JSY Countertrade went on an 11-0 run, giving them an advantage. However, Alvin Dionela knocked down a 35-foot buzzer beater, which earned Royal Star Trading the last minute win.

Carlo Chu led the victory with 30 points, followed by Alvin Dionela adding 16, Ardian Ong – 12, and Eugene Tsai – 11.

In the other game, Yan Yan Dy led JSY Transport with 33 points, followed by Luigi Coo contributing 28, and Dandan Ong and Jappy Cuaycong each scoring 18./JSG, WDJ
