The Genki Negros Inc. (GNI) Japanese Language and Training Center recently graduated 22 local students from their Japanese language and culture training.

Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr. credited the students for completing such a difficult task in six months.

“The Japanese language is not easy but, because of your determination, you were able to comprehend in such a short period of time,” he said.

The governor said the skills they picked up will be useful in finding work overseas.

Also in attendance were Negros Occidental Scholarship Program head Karen Dinsay, Executive Assistant Yoji Watanabe, GNI President President John Paul Silva, Agnes Iida of the GNI Board of Directors, and Organization for Industrial, Spiritual, and Cultural Advancement Training Center Director Shigemi Watanabe./WDJ
