Operatives from the Silay City Police Station and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit seized a total of P400,000 worth of suspected shabu following a late Monday evening buy-bust operation along Eusebio Street in the city’s Barangay 3.

Police identified the suspect as 19-year-old Joseph Garrucho, a resident of the city’s Barangay Rizal and currently on the local drugs watchlist.

Silay City police chief, Police Superintendent Noel Polines, said they recovered a total of 14 sachets of suspected shabu, along with alleged drug proceeds amounting to P1,240.

Also recovered from the suspect was the P500 in marked money used for the operation.
