Sweet Crystals Sugar, AACI Trading win

Sweet Crystals Sugar recently defeated Silver Dragon Transport, 86-72, while AACI Trading beat JSY Countertrade, 88-80, in the ongoing Fil-Sino All Asian Countertrade, Inc. (AACI) Inter-Company Basketball Tournament game at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School Po Hang gym.
Silver Dragon Transport led 26-14 following the first quarter, which reduced to 44-41 at the break.
However, in the second half, Bambam Gilbor led Sweet Crystals Sugar to a 63-52 lead going into the final period.
The team eventually completed the come-from-behind win and maintained an untarnished 2-0 record.
Nikol Medina led the victory with 17 points, followed by Chibon Uy scoring 16 and Robbie Jalandoon adding 15.
Despite the loss, Marc Jalapa managed to score 22 points for Silver Dragon Transport, alongside Toffel Tan with 19.
In the other game, AACI Trading led 34-23 in the opening quarter. They went on to maintain that advantage through to halftime, leading 54-43.
By the third period, JSY Countertrade narrowed the gap to 64-60, but were unable to launch a complete comeback.
Mar Macainan led the win with 20 points, followed by Rey Pandoro scoring 15, Michael Ang – 14, and Ritche Militante – 11.
Meanwhile, Harry Siendo managed to score 22 points for JSY Countertrade./JSG, WDJ
