Negrenses medal in opener

Negros Occidental athletes picked up medals in the opening of the Batang Pinoy National Finals, which recently kicked-off in Baguio City.

Bea Delotavo and Antonette Jay Aguillon of Bacolod Tay Tung High School (BTTHS) each took gold in the 100m hurdles and 100m dash events.

Meanwhile, BTTHS scored back-to-back wins in the girls’ volleyball competition, beating Tagum City, 25-12 and 25-14; and Baguio City, 25-10 and 25-14.

In addition, the Sagay City futsal team defeated Baguio City, 3-2; and drew Mandaluyong City, 4-4./JSG, WDJ
