An inmate of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology-Bacolod City District Jail in Barangay Taculing was wounded late Sunday evening after being stabbed by a fellow inmate.
Jail officials identified the victim as 33-year-old Jonathan Wison, a resident of Barangay Handumanan, Bacolod City.
BJMP, meanwhile, refused to name the suspect.
Based on investigation by jail officials, the stabbing occurred while both the suspect and Wison were making Christmas lanterns. The victim said, prior to the stabbing, both he and the suspect were engaged in a verbal argument.
Following the incident, Wison was immediately rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital.
