A minor earthquake struck Guimaras over the weekend, making it the third tremor to shake the island since Thursday, when two minor earthquakes, recorded within 25 minutes of each other, were recorded.

According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), the Saturday afternoon quake struck just east of Jordan and measured 2.0 in magnitude; a Level 1 on the Mercalli intensity scale, wherein very few are expected to have even felt the tremor.

Phivolcs reported no damage attributed to the quake, along with no projected aftershocks.

Last week, the first tremor measured 2.4 in magnitude and also struck east of Jordan around 10:40 a.m. The second one, measuring 2.1 in magnitude, had an epicenter pinpointed east of Buenavista, and occured around 11:05 a.m./WDJ
