Ceres loses again

Following their loss in the opener of the ongoing 2018 Copa Paulino Alcantara, Philippines Football League champions Ceres-Negros FC suffered their second loss, falling 3-0 to Stallion Laguna FC over the weekend at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

Stallion midfielder Ruben Doctora opened scoring in the 24th minute, which was doubled in the 41st minute by midfielder Jesus Melliza.

The clubs went into halftime with the Laguna-based side up 2-0.

Early in the second half, Melliza earned a brace in the 52nd minute.

Ceres currently sits at the bottom of Group A and faces a rematch with Stallion on Wednesday./JSG, WDJ
