The United Nations Office for Project Services recently opened international bidding for the Northern Iloilo Fishery Rehabilitation Development Project, which is worth $5.5 million and is intended to rehabilitate the Concepcion Fish Port, located in Iloilo.
The deadline for bidding is October 4.
Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor, Sr., Concepcion Mayor Milliard Villanueva, and Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) country director Myung Seop-shin earlier signed a record of discussion over the matter. KOICA, who initially signed on to the project in 2013, following Super Typhoon “Yolanda,” will be funding the program through a grant.
The project is expected to provide the facility with a passenger terminal, restaurant stalls and selling areas, new fish port complex with market area, administration building, ice storage facility, toilets, and an access road./WDJ
