Donnie ‘Ahas’ Nietes of Murcia is set to meet Bago City-born boxer Aston ‘Mighty’ Palicte this weekend, September 8, at The Forum in Inglewood, California, in the United States, where the two Negrense fighters will battle for the vacant World Boxing Organization (WBO) super flyweight title.

Nietes’ last bout was in February, where he beat Juan Carlos Reveco for the International Boxing Federation flyweight title; meanwhile, Palicte beat Jose Alfredo Rodriguez last December, winning the North American Boxing Federation super flyweight belt.

“We will give out what our supporters deserve,” said Palicte./JSG, WDJ
