Bacolod City is currently hosting the pre-event tour for Philippine Travel Exchange (PHITEX) 2018, with a welcome dinner last night at the Bacolod City Government Center.

“We are excited that the Tourism Promotions Board has selected Bacolod City to be one of the 10 destinations to be visited by the international delegates,” said Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia. “It will also surely bring more tourists to our city and province.”

According to Bacolod City Councilor Em Ang, who chairs the Sangguniang Panlungsod Committee on Tourism, the PHITEX event is a culinary, pilgrimage, and heritage tour.

“These tours are targeted to let them experience why it’s more fun in the Philippines,” she explained./WDJ
