Rogen Ladon of Bago City won silver in the 2018 Asian Games men’s light flyweight boxing competition over the weekend, falling to Uzbekistan’s Jasurbek Latipov after the referee stopped the fight.

The stoppage came after Ladon suffered a cut to his left eye, which required the ring doctor to examine the injury.

Meanwhile, Filipino boxers Eumir Marcial and Carlo Paalam each took home a bronze medal in their respective weight classes.

The boxing medals brought the Philippines’ medal tally to four gold, two silver, and 15 bronze medals./JSG, WDJ
