During the Franchise Negosyo Para sa Bacolod event, which is taking place at the L’Fisher Hotel and SM City Bacolod activity center until Sunday, September 2, Francorp CEO Bing Sibal-Limjoco said those who have gone into franchising have seen their businesses grow, citing establishments such as Felicia’s, Munsterific, and Chefs and Bakers.

She also mentioned Potato Corner, which is now an international brand, boasting franchises in the United States.

Sibal-Limjoco said there are over 1,500 franchise brands in the country, with 68 percent of them locally-owned. She also noted, emerging trends in the business include halal restaurants, self-service laundry, 24-hour gyms, and housekeeping services.

She also credited the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte, claiming their policies will help advance small business.

“The administration is tied with the ‘golden age of infrastructure’ that could spell better business [infrastructure] to fit the needs of different industries,” Sibal-Limjoco stated./WDJ
