Negrense boxer makes flyweight semifinals

After defeating Azat Mahmetov of Kazakhstan in the quarterfinals, Rogen Ladon of Bago City will meet Thailand’s Yuttapong Tongdee in the semifinals of the 2018 Asian Games men’s light flyweight boxing competition today, August 31.

The fight will determine if the Negrense boxer will challenge for gold in the finals or fight for bronze in a consolation bout.

Meanwhile, Carlo Paalam of Cagayan de Oro City advanced to the semifinals of the men’s light flyweight division and Eumir Marcial, also from Cagayan de Oro City, made it into the semifinals of the middleweight division./JSG, WDJ
