Rafael Pescos of Victorias City won the National Heroes Day-Negros First Marathon last Tuesday, clocking in at 2:44:37.

Maclin Sadia came in second with 2:51:02, followed by Ryan Hulleza of Himamaylan City with 2:51:29.

The male open category was won by Berden Ansiong of Sipalay City with 2:53:55, the female open was won by Stephanie Cadosale of Escalante City with 3:29:48, 21K Under 20 male – Ferian Gavilan of Escalante City with 1:18:29, Under 20 female – Magdalen Tubal of Bago City with 1:37:07, and senior male open – Mario Chavez of La Carlota City with 1:35:10.

Meanwhile, Helen Ison of Murcia was the lone finisher in the senior female category, clocking in at 1:41:57./JSG, WDJ
