At least eight people were injured after a jeepney slammed into the back of a delivery van yesterday morning at Purok Tunay in Barangay Bata, Bacolod City.

In a radio interview, 43-year-old Gemmy Sibuco, the jeepney operator, claimed his vehicle’s brakes were not functioning as the jeepney’s ball joint broke off, which is necessary for steering the vehicle.

Sibuco and seven passengers were rushed to a hospital in Bacolod City following the incident./DGB, WDJ
