Gun, bullets recovered from Cauayan home

Operatives from the Cauayan municipal police and the Philippine Army 15th Infantry Battalion recovered a firearm and several bullets following a Tuesday search in the town’s Barangay Caliling.

Police arrested 57-year-old Gregorio Intig, a resident of the said area.

Cauayan municipal police chief, Police Chief Inspector James Latayon, Jr., said a search warrant was issued by Cauayan Municipal Trial Court Judge Condrado Estreller, Jr. on illegal possession of firearms charges.

Police recovered a .38 caliber revolver with five live bullets, along with two additional .38 caliber bullets.

Intig is detained at the Cauayan Municipal Police Station and faces illegal possession of firearms and ammunition charges./DGB, WDJ
