The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), in partnership with the Negros Museum, will open “LIHOK: Visayas Arts Festival and Conference” today, August 22, which will run until August 25 in Bacolod City, Bago City, and Talisay City.
The festival and conference is a movement by Visayan and Visayas-based artists in celebrating the region’s artistic wealth.
According to Negros Museum Executive Director Tanya Lopez, who serves as LIHOK festival director, the event will highlight the region’s best practices in interdisciplinary and collaborative performances and exhibits; along with featuring a creative industry trade fair and interactive lecture demonstrations./WDJ
