Aksyon Radyo Bacolod conducted a medical mission last Friday at the city’s BAYS Center as part of their 49th anniversary.
Nine doctors, five dentists, eight lawyers, among others assisted a total of 788 beneficiaries with free dental services, medical consultations, legal consultations, eye check-ups, massages, and haircuts.
“This is our way of providing true public service to the people,” said Station Manager Nona Demaala-Magbanua.
Sponsors for the event included Task Force Kasanag Commander John Chiong, Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia, Bacolod City lone district Rep. Greg Gasataya, Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran, provincial and city health offices, Soroptimist International, the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, City Councilor Wilson Gamboa, Jr., Tess Penuela, Philippine Army 303rd Infantry Brigade, and medical students from the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos.
The radio station will next be holding a bloodletting event on Friday, August 24, at the Negros Occidental Multi-Purpose Activity Center./WDJ
