Almost P24 million worth of suspected shabu was seized after agents from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Region 7 (PDEA-7) and Dumaguete City police served a search warrant yesterday at Barangay Bajumpandan, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.

PDEA agents identified the target of the operation as Janmark Abadilla, a resident of the said area.

Agents said the operation was conducted after Judge Gerardo Paguio of the Dumaguete City Regional Trial Court issued a search warrant against Abadilla.

A search of the suspect’s residence yielded two kilograms of suspected shabu, suspected drug money amounting to P113,290, a weighing scale, two mobile phones, drug paraphernalia, and a .38 caliber revolver with 11 live bullets.

Abadilla was arrested following the search and is detained at the Dumaguete City Police Station.

Aside from illegal drugs charges, Abadilla also faces additional raps for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition./DGB, WDJ
