TraNSCEnd Hunger, a program focused on training barangay nutrition scholars and health workers on ending hunger, was launched in Sipalay City last month.

A total of 30 local health workers and nutrition scholars will be selected to participate in a five-month training program, where they will undergo breastfeeding peer counselor training, infant and young child feeding workshops, model facility immersions, among other activities.

Earlier this month, the city hosted the Big Latch On, a breastfeeding event celebrated annually during World Breastfeeding Week, which runs from August 1 to 7./WDJ
