Richelle H. Verdeprado of Himamaylan City will be attending the 2018 Climate Reality Leadership Corps Training in Los Angeles, California in the United States from August 28 to 30.

Currently the head of the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R) College of Arts and Sciences social work program, she is also taking up a bachelor’s degree in law at the said school.

Verdeprado already has a doctorate in development management and earned her master’s in social work from the Asian Social Institute.

She initially earned a bachelor’s degree in social work from UNO-R, graduating summa cum laude, and finishing second in the 2011 social work board examination.

Verdeprado called the opportunity to participate in the training “an inspiration [for] every Negrense.”/WDJ
